The Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) is in partnership with Advancing Canadian Entrepreneurship (ACE). ACE operates an annual competition series for university and college student entrepreneurs. The competitions begin at the regional level and then at the national level through the student entrepreneur program.

The 2010 ACE National Student Entrepreneur Champion which will represent Canada at the GSEA Global Finals competition is Jason Oakley, student at Memorial University in New Foundland, and CEO of Recess Media!, Inc.
Jason's company creates and distributes RECESS! which is a unique publication providing students with a much needed distraction from their daily academic lives. Full of fun games and activities and accompanied by eight exclusive advertising spaces, RECESS! can offer advertisers with an extremely effective way to reach the student market in their community.

The 2009 ACE National Student Entrepreneur Competition Champion who represented Canada at the GSEA Global Finals was Milun Tesovic, co-founder owner of Metro Leap Media, Inc. and past student from Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, Canada. Milun was also crowned the 2009 GSEA Global Champion for his business www.MetroLyrics.com, which is one of the largest online music lyrics websites in the world.  The competition was hosted at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation and Milun's award was earned through several rounds of presentations and ultimately evaluated by over 50 elite entrepreneur judges at the Global Finals.
