The Global Student Entrepreneur Awards operates in parntership with the National Consortium of University Entrepreneurs (NACUE).

Winner Announced! The United Kingdom has recognized the national competition winner of the seven national finalists who were vetted through regional level competitions to compete at the national competition. Emma-Jayne Parkes, CEO of SquidLondon Ltd., and student at London College of Fashion emerged as the winner for her entrepreneurial skill set and success with her company. SquidLondon specialises in product design and development passionate about smart materials and interactive inks. The first product Squid launched onto the market is the famous ‘Squidarella; a walking piece of art’…an umbrella that changes colour in the rain! Squid’s customers include TATE who commissioned them to design and develop an exclusive umbrella, Museum of Modern Art New York and Art Basel Switzerland. SquidLondon’s goal is to continue designing and developing products to create the ultimate Squid product range.
The GSEA is honored to welcome Emma-Jayne Parkes to the 2010 GSEA Global Finals to represent her company and the United Kingdom in our competition to crown the Global Champion.

We are proud to recognize Entrepreneurs’ Organization Member Julian Johnson as the 2010 GSEA United Kingdom Chairman.
